就是臺中市最繁華的商業區，商業活動盛極一時，中區的居民非富即貴，自己小時候也見證到當時的繁華，面積不到一平方公里的中區，
有電影院跟百貨公司的密度全臺灣最高，這點連首都臺北都比不上。
