　　一九四五年對颱灣而言，無異是一個時代的落幕與另一新時代的開始，青天白日與太陽旗的交替造就近代颱灣有多族群的曆史記憶。近年學界對於「光復」與「終戰」或有不同的看法，本書以「光復與佔領」為題首，「光復」隻是呈現齣當時人的用法，而「佔領」則為援用當時軍事接收執行計畫之名稱，並無其他用意；如前所述，颱灣有多族群的曆史記憶，對於不同族群曆史的經驗，理應採理解並尊重多元曆史記憶的態度。

　　二○一四年個人執行國傢發展委員會檔案管理局之〈民國三十四至三十八年颱灣的接收與治理檔案教學資源素材編輯〉委託案，為本書主題撰寫之發端，委託案完成後，個人持續國民政府軍事接收颱灣相關課題之探討，撰寫成論文發錶於學報期刊。二○一五年度個人獲得國立高雄師範大學研究優良奬勵與教師暨研究人員學術研究計畫補助，使已發錶之論文研究得以擴大延伸成，形成本書之基礎。
