This pocket-sized paperback is one of the twenty-four titles published for 2017 Hong Kong International Poetry Nights. The theme of IPHHK2017 is “Ancient Enmity”. IPNHK is one of the most influential international poetry events in Asia. From 22–26 November 2017, over 20 invited poets from various countries will be in Hong Kong to read their works based on the theme “Ancient Enmity.” Included in the anthology and box set, these unique works are presented with Chinese and English translations in bilingual or trilingual formats.

Julia Fiedorczuk is a poet, prose writer, translator, and lecturer in American literature at the University of Warsaw. She has published five books of poetry, a collection of short stories, and two novels (including the Nike-nominated Nieważkość). She is the author (with Gerardo Beltrán of a tri-lingual essay on poetry and ecology: Ekopoetyka / Ecopoética / Ecopoetics) and a member of ASLE (Association for the Study of Language and the Environment). In her writings she explores the relationships between human beings and non-human nature, as well as the questions of identity, otherness and ethical responsibility. of the bathtub, which had such gentle sides, ice-covered slopes. I hooked my arm
around some object now out of reach, like the remainder of the dream,
in which we’d made a home among those clouds; some part of me was for a while immortal, some part of you still lingered, when next morning,
not yet dressed, I read in Heraclitus: Here too dwell the gods.
